Georgetown Salon’s Join Together To Make A Difference!

Did you know there are 257 homeless kids in Georgetown!
Let’s help make this Holiday Season brighter for Georgetown ISD Kids who are homeless, no child should be left hungry, hurt, alone or rejected, all children and youth should believe they are loved, respected and treated with dignity.

The Nest Empowerment center serves Georgetown ISD students in Grades 9-12, this is a safe haven for kids that are in need of FREE resources such as; evening meals, quiet place for homework, rest, computers, school supplies,daily homework help, test prep, counseling, job readiness training, college prep, and other support services in a positive environment with caring adults.

Students have access to the food pantry,clothing closet and all essential toiletries.

The Nest Home opened in 2013 and is a partnership of the Georgetown Project and STARRY. STARRY provides comprehensive support services at The Nest Home, including certification and licensing of the host parents who live in the home and placement of youth in the home.
They also provide counseling and case management for youth and families at The Nest Empowerment Center.
Georgetown Salon’s are joining together  this holiday season to make a bigger impact in the community collecting donations, gifts and gift cards for the Nest, A program of The Georgetown Project.
Razmataz Salon, Posh Salon, Scarlet Red Salon, Mecca, Gatzby’s Salon, Mi-Me’s Salon, Lift Salon, 2 wild hairsMaggie’s Hair Design, Rumors Salon, HotBlinks, Studio 201, The Salon Professional Academy, Novita Spa and Totally you Salon are all participants in this benefit where drop off boxes are located.

Gas Cards

Carpet/Remnants in 10×7 and 4×6 for game room , Radio with CD player, Gift Cards to WalMart and HEB, Beef Jerky,  Granola Bars, Peanut butter crackers, Water Bottles, Fruit boxes/pouches, Soup, Chef Boyardee products (ravioli, spaghetti, etc), Craft supplies for Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations.
